PRESIDENT, DINA SARTI

Dina has worked with IHS Support Solutions for the past seven years in the role of New Business Development. Her job entails providing Support Solutions to Fortune 1000 companies in the areas of operation management, staffing and training. She is also actively involved with local chapters of the Professional Legal Trainer's Group, Help Desk Institute, and Women in New Media. Dina attends many NYC networking events to remain aware of the many challenges and opportunities within the technical industry.

As President of the New York City chapter of the Association for Women in Computing, Dina's goal is to continue developing partnerships and sponsorships within the business community that will assist in supporting AWC's Goals and Mission.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, ELAINE MASON

Elaine is the Vice President of Planning and Education at MTV Networks. She is responsible for communications, education and strategic planning for the organization and acts as a sounding board for the CIO and business executives. Aside from her role in the AWC, Elaine is an active board member for the Taproot Foundation and currently serves as the New York City Advisory Board Chair.

As the Executive Vice President for the AWC-NYC, Elaine plans to focus her time developing a long term vision for the organization and structuring the chapter's processes.

VP, MEMBERSHIP, LORRAINE DECRESCENZO

Currently, Lorraine is the VP, Information Systems for Wachovia Securities. She is the Manager of Technical Support for a substantial part of Wachovia's retail brokerage offices throughout the country and the world. Because of her work experience at Wachovia (formerly Prudential) Securities, Lorraine has a technical background, as well as the leadership skills necessary to manage a large staff. In addition to volunteering her time as the Membership VP for AWC NYC, Lorraine also volunteers for events and programs with NY Cares, Global Volunteer Day, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC.

Lorraine joined AWC NYC to foster growth and retain value for the chapter’s members.

VP, PROGRAM EVENTS, JANNISE NESBIT

Jannise has spent the majority of her career in the legal profession, focusing on technical training for various law firms throughout the U.S. and Canada. Over the years, Jannise has provided implementation services and project management for a software development corporation. Outside of her professional experience, Jannise is a NYCares Volunteer (providing computer training to seniors) as well as a volunteer Career spokeswoman with the Girl Scouts.

As the VP of Program Events, Jannise plans to use her team oriented background to get speakers and content that will best fit the organization now, and as it continues to grow.

VP, PUBLICATIONS, DAWN SERPE

Dawn has worked in the Information Technology field in staffing/consulting services for the last 16 years. She currently holds the position of Director of the IT Practice at Forrest Edwards Group.

In her role as VP, Publications, she plans to partner with her fellow chapter members to brainstorm on new ideas regarding services and programs for members through her connections and understanding of the industry in NYC. Dawn believes that her experience working with a diverse skillset of IT professionals, writing technical resumes, proposals and website verbiage will help with the marketing materials and website for AWC.

VP, PUBLIC RELATIONS, ANNE FESTA

Anne has worked closely with the AWC Board for the past two years and shares the chapter's passion to continue growing membership and event offerings. As past AWC VP of Programs, Anne created the "Breakfast With ..." series and coordinated a variety of successfully events which included such topics as: Successful Women in Technology Speak; The Future of Online Services; Wireless Technology; and Career Development with Technology Leadership.

Anne welcomes the opportunity to support and communicate the NYC Chapter's goals and objectives in her new role as VP, Public Relations.

RECORDING SECRETARY, LESLIE REYES

Leslie was advancing in the field of neurological clinical research before changing careers to IT Consulting, Business Development. Prior to joining Rosetta Technology Group, she was Client Services Manager for LABS, an ASP for the entertainment industry. As Business Development Manager, she identifies new opportunities to develop mutually beneficial business relationships. She is also the main point of contact for current clients. Ms. Reyes earned her BS at the University of Rochester.

TREASURER, JAN WONG

Jan has worked in the financial services industry with positions ranging from accounting and client management to web development and project management for the last 11 years. She has bachelor degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. For the past 7 years, Jan has worked for Deutsche Bank as a Vice President working on various projects.

As the Treasurer of the AWC - NYC since August 2002, Jan believes the organization provides an incredible opportunity to meet great women who work well together and really help each other.

WEBMASTER, CATHERINE MANNING

Catherine is in the process of developing her own company for web site design and development, currently specializing in small-scale businesses, professional associations and community based organizations (CBOs).

Prior to her career shift into the online technology, Catherine worked as a mainframe application developer, with over twelve years of experience in the financial sector. In that work, Catherine participated in all elements of the project life cycle.

Catherine joined the AWC early 2003 to expand her professional networking community. Since joining the AWC, Catherine has taken on the responsibility of Webmaster and is an active member in the Public Relations Committee.
