ABOUT THE FHT

The Friends of Harlem Tennis (FHT) was originally formed to save affordable tennis at the eight (8) tennis courts of the 369th Regiment Armory.

Currently at that Armory, there are six (6) tennis courts and two (2) multi-purpose courts. The struggle to keep the cost of playing tennis at the Armory affordable, however, still continues.

Concerning other tennis-related issues, many persons in our tennis community are separated into small, isolated groups.

The FHT wishes to provide a central contact point where we can share our concerns and get joint action/support in solving our tennis issues on the public courts of NYC.

Cracks on court surfaces? Sagging nets? Debris under foot on the playing areas? Courts closing early from lack of City Parks staff?

A single voice is easy to ignore. A united group gets results.

Join us in our efforts to raise the level of service for our tennis community!
